Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Scoreboard Photos collects through this site, how it's used, and how you can ask us about or request removal of it.

What we collect

Account information: name, email, and (optionally) phone number when you register.
Photos and orders: the photos in galleries you're part of, any photos you favorite, and your order/purchase history.
Payment information: we never see or store your card number. Payments are processed directly by Stripe or Square on their own secure checkout pages.
Technical data: IP address and basic device/browser information, used for security purposes (like noticing when the Print Screen key is pressed in a gallery that has that protection switched on) and to keep your shopping cart and login working. See "Gallery protection records" below.

Gallery protection records

To protect copyrighted photos, a gallery may ask you to accept its Gallery Access Terms before it shows any photos. We keep these records:

When you accept the terms: the date and time, which version of the terms, your answer to the question, the general network area your device connects from (not your exact address), and the type of device (phone, tablet or computer).
Photo requests: which preview photo was requested, when, and whether it was shown. Each preview photo also carries a small code in its corner that identifies the gallery link it was shown from. The code is not your name.
Print Screen notices: in galleries that have this protection on, pressing the Print Screen key is noted, with your IP address and browser details. This does not detect other ways of capturing a screen.

We use these records to show that you agreed to the terms, to spot unusual activity, and to protect our photos. Only studio staff who manage galleries can see them. We do not sell them or use them for advertising. Our website runs on servers at DigitalOcean and our photos are stored with Cloudflare.

How long we keep them: photo request records for 180 days, Print Screen notices for 180 days, and records of your agreement for 3 years. If a gallery's photos have been copied without permission, we may keep that gallery's records until the matter is resolved. You can ask us about these records or ask for them to be deleted (see "Your choices"); we may need to keep records of your agreement for the period above as proof of it.

How we use it

To run the service you're using: showing you your galleries, processing orders, sending order receipts, and (only if you opt in) text/email updates about bookings and orders. We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising.

Text messages

We only send text messages if you've opted in. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us at sales@scoreboardphotos.com.

Cookies and sessions

This site uses cookies/sessions to keep you logged in and to remember your shopping cart. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

Your choices

You can ask us to tell you what information we have about you, correct it, or delete it -- including face recognition data -- by contacting us at sales@scoreboardphotos.com. Some information, like paid order records, may need to be kept for accounting or legal reasons even after a deletion request.

Children's privacy

This site is used by parents/guardians and studio clients, not marketed directly to children. Event/team photography may include minors; a parent or guardian is expected to manage the account and any purchases on their behalf.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
